Tugu Railway Station
Tugu Railway station is the second oldest Train Station in Yogyakarta. It was built on 1887. Tugu Station caters routes to major cities in Java. It is strategically located; adjacent to famous tourist destinations: The Kraton, Malioboro street, Beringhardjo market, and Dutch-style Government offices.
The stations is not really crowded. Not a fancy station, but it is quite clean and safe. Its decors are Dutch-style and apparently well maintained. Most of its staffs have been there for decades. Not surprising, even the porters and food hawkers have been there for decades also.
