My Trip to Thailand

• I am amazed with Phi Phi Island. The views are stunning and beautiful. The beaches are clean and green. It is really one of the places on Earth which must be visited before you die.
• There are more “bule” in Thailand/Phuket than in Bali. Probably because the lifestyle in Thailand is rather “free”. Asian tourists are mostly seen in Bali.
• Most of the Thais I met think that Phuket is better than Bali, albeit they’ve never been to Bali before. If he/she is your driver, you’d better nod your head.
• Thais think that I am a Thai as well. Sometimes it is annoying, but the best part is when I could get huge discounts
• The main attraction in Phuket/Phi Phi are the natural sceneries. For beaches, Phuket/Phi Phi beat Bali (but I’ve never been to Lovina though), but for other aspects (i.e. hospitality, arts & cultures, inland views, air, sports, adventure, and waves) Bali is much better.  
• Clear sky above Phuket. I could even see the stars from there, more than I can see from Jakarta and Bangkok. I like gazing the stars at night coz when you see the stars you will realize that Someone above there must have been creating the stars and it is less likely we are the only cultured being in this universe. Las time I could gaze stars in Indonesia when I was in Tapanuli (meine heimat) and Lembang, near Boscha.
• In Kata beach you can see “papaja” and “melon” (sorry for my language)
• I went snorkeling and feeding the fish too. Not interested watching cabaret, lady boys, etc whatever
• I visited Maya Beach, Koh Samui, Khai Nok, and Phi Phi Don. Stunning view! 
• The trip also costs me my ipod and my sunglass clip-on.
• I almost missed my flight twice. One from Phuket to Bangkok whereas we came in when the check in counter was already closed. From Bangkok to Jakarta whereas I went to wrong departure gate and panicked seeing the gate had been locked. 
• Surprised to know that the main buildings in Royal Palace complex are covered by solid gold.
• After short course of Thailand history, I am proud of Sriwijaya and Mataram glorious past.
• Bangkok is slightly better than Jakarta due to its public transportation and safety. But other than that, it’s just the same. The air is even worse.
• High rise buildings in Bangkok are rather dull. Jakarta is much better.
• I like the food, especially Thai curry.
• I am planning to revisit Thailand. Next time I’ll go to Chiang Mai and Phi Phi (again!)
• I have uploaded some photos in Facebook (of course, yang sopan sopan saja hehe…)

   wahhh jadi pengen kesana juga!! lautnya bersih banget ya.. menenangkan gtu rasanya, padahal cuma baru liat dari foto2 lo doank.. *drooling*

   Darn, I miss thailand so much.
   Nooo, Bangkok is so much better than jakarta I guess, much much better even if bangkok do not having those BTS/subway. . .bangkok have lumphini park, the chao phraya, extravagant temple, nightlife, anything!

   the last time, I cant make it to phi-phi. . .anyway how much the cost now for one day tour to maya beach?

   from phuket to koh samui kan lumayan jauh ya??

   Devi: hahaha…ayo, kalo perlu kita bikin blogger gathering disana

   Anggi: Temple OK, Chao Phraya is big but not awesome (if you’ve seen huang pu or danube) and dirty (but much better than Ciliwung!). Nightlife is very lively but I am not a fan of such nightlife . Also agree on Lumphini park.

   Touring Maya Beach: Because my look is like Thais (well, according to them ;p), I was charged THB 1400 (ca IDR 560k), but if you have bule accent, they will charge you THB 2800 (ca IDR 1.2mln).

   pastinya bali lebih keren dari thailand…mungkin karena disana lebih bebas jadi menurut gw daya tariknya hanya sex…coba aja liat pantai pattaya dan bandingin sama kuta…jauh bener…tapi pastinya dithailand lebih aman…dari patpong balik kehotel naik tuk tuk maupun taxi ga ada tuh yg namanya nembak harga…monorailnya juga bersih dan murah lebih terjaga baik dibanding busway…

   kalo pattaya jangan dibandingkan dengan kuta..pasti jauh lebih bagus kuta dalam segala hal…

   tapi coba bandingkan dengan kuta dengan phuket/phi phi..jauh lebih bagus phuket/phi phi kalo soal keindahan pantai.

   tapi katanya di utara bali ada pantai yang bagus banget dan belum banyak dieksploitasi..dekat lovina
